ARTIST REGISTRY

The Artist Registry was born in 1998 as a program of the LCA. The primary goal of the Artist Registry is to promote and market local artists in all cultural arts disciplines. The Artist Registry includes painters, sculptors, textile artists, metal artists, musicians, performers, writers, storytellers, actors and more.

Through rotating art exhibitions at area businesses, Artist Registry has become an extremely popular method to display artists’ works. Although Longmont hosts a few art galleries, those can in no way come close to promoting the hundreds of excellent artists that live here. For a reasonable donation, area businesses ask the LCA to “decorate” their businesses on a quarterly basis. The result has been an exciting dynamic between the community, businesses and artists.

The following businesses have allowed us to nurture local artists: Vectra Bank, Longmont United Hospital, First National Bank, Fox Hill Country Club, Thomas Strauss, DDS, Colorado Women’s Care, Bross Street Assisted Living, Colorado Landmark Realty in Niwot, Burlington Medical Center and the Longmont Chamber of Commerce.

If you are looking for an artist, musician, or other creative individual for an upcoming event, don’t hesitate to come to the Muse Gallery to peruse the offerings of more than one hundred talented, local artists. There is no fee to do this.
